Employee Motivation, Job Reengineering, and Perceived Job Satisfaction: A Quantitative Correlational Approach

This quantitative research investigated the correlation between employee motivation, job reengineering, and perception of satisfaction among civilian employees Department Defense located in Washington, D.C., United States. The theoretical foundation for study was rooted Deci Ryan's (1985; 2000) self-determination theory motivation. researcher utilized a non-experimental correlational design an appropriate non-probability convenience sampling method to collect data from fifty-five (55) participants. multidimensional work diagnostic, scales were used measure variables. Non-parametric tests variables three hypotheses tested. results showed strong positive relationship exists satisfaction. These findings suggest that business leaders human capital managers private government enterprises may use as focal point understand person-job fit, establish lean organizational efficiencies, formulate strategies improve motivation reduce turnover.
